Dearest PRESS Friends,

2016 has finally come! And what better way to observe the coming of the new year than with a bit of history!

The New Year’s Resolution was an ancient tradition created by the Babalonians some 4000 years ago. They made promises to their God on New Years Eve to make improvements for the next year. The “New Year’s Resolution” has been diluted, to say the least, over the course of the thousands of years and has become such a cliche. Let’s face it, we all grimace when asked the question. As we all know, New Year’s Resolutions are made to be broken! So why bother?

This year however, I’d like to focus on making “many new resolutions.” This simply means I’m going to focus on finding successful solutions to obtain what I could not get last year. For example, I would like to find a solution or a way in which my husband and I can spend some one-on-one time with each other (yes, more date nights, please!). So to kick start this new resolution, my husband and I will be spending our first “date night” of the year watching Ducks vs. Blues at the Honda Center on Friday Janaury 8th. (Big shout out to Dan’s brother Brian for setting us up with some ridiculous seats!) Yep, and that’s just the the first of many.

So I will be the next one to ask… What are your resolutions for this brand new year? I challenge you to not just find something to improve upon, but to also find solutions and make it happen.
